Campground Rules

The following rules are intended to provide an enjoyable family camping experience for you and your neighbors. Parents are expected to inform their children of these rules and are responsible for their supervision. Violation of these rules could mean early departure without a refund.
All campers, visitors, guests and pets must be registered at the office upon arrival and prior to entering the campground, per Maine State Law. All fees must be paid in advance. Our rates are based on 2 adults over the age of 21 and their 2 family members under the age of 18. Registered campers are responsible for ensuring their visitors have properly registered in the office, and that all campground rules are followed.
CHECK-OUT TIME: 12:00PM (Noon)
All balances due will be charged to credit card on file at 8:00PM on reserved date of arrival. Early arrival and late check-out fee is $5.00 per hour if site is available. If checking in after 8:00PM, contact office to make arrangements. No check-ins after 9:00PM.
Please note that we do not allow pets or smoking in any of our rental units.
We allow only one RV and no more than two camping units per site. You may have an RV and tent on a site, a pop-up and a tent, or two tents maximum per site..
Facilities in this park are for use by registered guests only. Visitors are required to register at the office before entering the park. There can be no more than 8 people (maximum of 4 adults) registered to one site at any given time. All visitors must leave the park by 10:00PM, unless registered as an overnight guest. Please register overnight guests by 8:00PM in the office. Registered campers are responsible for ensuring their visitors have properly registered in the office, and that all campground rules are obeyed. Visitors to your site may not bring pets. Click here to view our visitor fees.
If it seems ridiculously slow, you’re doing it right! Motorcycles are to be used for in and out travel only. No motorized or battery powered vehicles are permitted in the park other than those you have registered and for which you have received a valid tag. All vehicles must have a valid ID tag displayed at all times. No bicycle riding after dark.
Registered guests must park on their assigned site. We allow only one vehicle to a site.  In the event of an emergency requiring police, fire or ambulance services, multiple vehicles on a site hinder services that may be needed.  Additional vehicles must be left in the Visitor's parking lot only.
10:00PM - 8:00AM. All campers should return to their site by 10:00PM, and daily visitors/guests are required to leave at this time. The quality of rest and relaxation is important to all campers, so please refrain from loud noises and disturbances during this period. All radios and TVs must be at minimum volume settings, and be aware that normal speaking voices carry. Please ensure your children remain at your site until 8:00AM. Our quiet hours are strictly enforced.
Beaver Dam is pet-friendly, but owners will be totally responsible for their pets at all times. Pets cannot be left unattended at any time, and must be on a leash when not inside your RV. You may not leave your pet inside your RV if you leave the campground. All pet litter must be cleaned up immediately, and those not in compliance will be asked to leave the park. Noisy pets will not be allowed to stay, and only one warning will be issued prior to request to remove pet from park. We do not allow pets in the bathhouse, playground and beach areas, or in our rental units. Please provide proof of vaccination at check-in. Please call in advance for specific breed restrictions. You are totally liable for your pet should there be any claim.
All fires must be contained inside the metal fire rings located on each site. Campfires must be kept knee-high or below, and not left unattended. Fire rings must not be used to dispose of cans, bottles, or other household trash. Our fire ring placements have been approved by the Berwick Fire Department and for safety reasons, should not be moved. All fires must be extinguished by midnight. No tiki/bug torches permitted.
Maine State law prohibits transporting firewood from out of state. Firewood is sold in the store. No cutting of trees/firewood is allowed in the campground or adjoining properties. All firewood brought into the park must be removed prior to checkout. Please do not drive nails into, or disfigure trees. Additionally, please do not tie clotheslines to trees or shrubs. For further information, go to
The discharge of grey water into the environment has been found to be a significant risk to public health. Grey water can have a population of bacteria approaching or exceeding the populations of black water. Health Department regulations do not permit draining sink water on the ground or into open containers. If your site has septic service, connect your wastewater outlets to the sewer pipe, and ensure that the connections are tight and do not leak. Please contact the office if you are unsure of how to perform this connection. Grey water is sometimes discharged into portable blue tanks. The contents of the blue tank must be discharged into the dump station.
The dumping station is located in the visitor parking area and is free to all registered campers. We also have a “honey wagon” service available on Mondays and Thursdays only (weather permitting), and must be paid for and service requested 24 hours in advance.
WARNING! There is no lifeguard on duty and absolutely NO DIVING! Pool hours are 9:30AM to dusk. There is no swimming after sunset. All swimming is at your own risk. No children under 12 years old are allowed in the pool or pond without adult supervision. Pool rules must be observed at all times. There is no smoking, food, beverages or pets allowed in the pool or on the pool deck. Swimming in the pond is limited to the roped swim area only. Rafts/tubes are only to be used in the pond. Toddlers in diapers must wear swim pants (available in the camp store for a nominal fee) in the pool and pond. Swimming pool is open from Memorial Day thru Labor Day.
No motor operated boats (gas or electric) are allowed in the pond. All boats brought into the park must be inspected for invasive weeds. We rent rowboats, paddleboats, canoes, kayaks and tubes for your convenience and pleasure. An adult must accompany children under 12. Life jackets are available and required (no charge) with every rental. All equipment is subject to a security deposit. See the office for more info and for fees.
Please bag your garbage and use the can nearest to your site. Only household generated garbage should placed in the cans. Fire rings must not be used to dispose of cans, bottles, and household trash. Broken furniture, grills, rugs etc. are not considered household trash and should be taken with you. This is our home and we take pride in the cleanliness of our park. Please do not litter. This includes cigarette butts!
To avoid accidents and injuries, an adult should accompany children under the age of 6 years old to the bathhouse. We take pride in the cleanliness of our facilities and we would appreciate your help in maintaining them. The bathhouse is closed daily from 10:30AM-11:00AM on the Men’s side and 11:00AM-11:30AM on the Women’s side for cleaning and sanitation. Please be out of the bathhouse during these times.
This is a Family park and the use of alcohol is limited to your own site and should not be brought into any of our common areas.
Please respect the privacy of other campers and the owners by not walking thru or between occupied sites, or through the yard of the private house. Please use designated roadways and pathways when walking thru the park.

Thank you for choosing to stay at Beaver Dam Campground. We are proud of our park, and happy to have you as our guest. We will do everything possible to ensure you have an enjoyable camping experience.
